PROS (X2)
Set Up -
Pattern to be set up twice, in the one displayed above the ball will work round the right side anti clock wise, the second pattern will be slightly smaller and the ball will work around the left side to encourage passing and receiving on potentially weaker foot. Players will rotate between each pattern. Players are not stuck to their mannequin, encouraged to move off to receive.
Technical - Weight, detail and communication within the pass, type offoot to pass the ball E.G inside of foot or driven for the initial pass to then be cushioned into stride for the second. Playing intostronger foot, ensuring pass isn't vertical, all angle passes. Scanning to ensure the angle is correct, timing of pass into stride andmovement to receive. Opening our body up to be able to see both where the pass is coming from and where you are passing too, side on. Try to get everything down to one touch and ensure players are playing into the receiving players stride.
Tactical - N/A
Physical - Lower intensity to start with to ensure detail and quality on the ball, to then increase once players are comfortable. Movement to receive initial pass to then turn out to receive again. Momentum / acceleration within movement whilst also being able to anticipate the ball and get set to receive as getting closer to the ball.
Psychological - Pressure to not be the player to mess up the pattern, Staying switched on to understand what your pass / movement needs to be. Anticipation to receive and awareness of where to receive the ball and where your next pass needs to go. Confidence within the pass to ensure hit with pace. Problem solving, if it does break down can we recover it quickly.
Social - Type of communication both with and without the ball, verbal, hand gestures, eye contact, movement. trigger to play the pass (Themovement forward / away from the cone to receive)

Set Up -
Phase of play (Predominantly working with the back 4 unit)
Still focusing on the different roles and responsibilities within a 1-4-4-2.

Yellow back 4 unit aims and objectives -
Can we squeeze up the pitch when the ball travels backwards to decrease room to penetrate and encourage the ball over the top.
Triggers to squeeze up the pitch to play offside (Backwards or sideways pass by opposition, defensive clearance, midfield / attacking unit in possession of the ball.
Communication and shuffling as a unit (Table Football Example)
Looking across the line to see who the last man is, communication within the unit to establish if we sit or squeeze normally led by Rayaan.
Understanding the 3 zones within the pitch, if the ball is in a wide zone full back from opposite zone tucks in but never goes past the penalty spot. Get compact to defend on the ball with nearest man press, around the ball with secondary player and away from the ball with the opposite full back.
If the ball is in middle zone both full backs tuck in slightly but obtain a position to put off the ball being switched wide (E.G a good distance between the wide player so that if the ball traveled we could recover to put pressure on the ball) whilst squeezing higher up the pitch.
Understanding the importance of moving, communicating and working overall as a unit. Can't allow one to press and 2 to sit etc.
Yellow midfield 2 aims and objectives -
Stop the forward pass, encourage sideways or backwards via type of movement, body language and general intensity to press. If we win possession of the ball, can we play into mini goal as soon as possible.
Progression - Into full 7 v 7 normal game, not to reset from red CM's.
