Creating Wide Play:
Half Field or 45x30; Width most important
6 v 4 + GK
Offense: Playing 2-3-1; kicks ball off; Ball must be played wide to player in the channel. He passes or dribbles through either of the gates (cones); Score by pass/cross from Wide Position
Defense: Playing 1-3-1; defend goal; keep shape; scores by playing ball wide to Target players at Half field. Canapply pressure outside channel but cannot attack player inside the channel.
Coaching Points:
Communiction for Offensive Players; Where do you want to finish your run? What angle?
Attacking team stretches Defense w/ good shape
Movement of Central Players to create scoring chances
Take advantage of Width

Expanded Small Sided Game:
Instruction:
Offense 2-3-1 v Defense 1-3-1; Numbers can be adjusted based on size of field and numbers or players
Instruction:
Offense: Ball starts in middle of field & played wide. Attacking players can move anywhere in the field to create overloads. Ball must be dribbled or passed through gates before they take a shot on goal.
Defense: Defense uses counter goals or targets at Mid Field to score.
Coaching Points:
-Take advantage of numbers up opportunities; Create a sense of urgency
-Width & Mobility of Attacking team
-Vision & Communication from attacking team for well timed run/cross/finish
-Instruct players on what type of runs they need to complete pass/cross
