Football/Soccer Session (Beginner): Small-Sided Game: Splitting a Defensive Line

Set up field space as shown. Six players, 4v2, in each box. Each pair of players must stay in the defined area for their line. The four players in the top and bottom line of each box look to create space between the defenders (the middle line) by passing up and down their own line. When space opens up, a pass to the other line scores a point. If the defensive line prevents the pass and steals the ball, they receive a point. Play to a time or to 5 points. Have the green team rotate clockwise (as shown by the numbers--1-->2-->3-->4, etc.) and the red team rotate counter clockwise (as shown by the letters--A-->B-->C-->D, etc.).
