Description

Objective: To improve ideas, and decision making for set pieces.

General Notes: Decision Tree: Can I score? Can I assist? Can I keep Possession? If the wall or GK is set up poorly, take the attempt and put it on frame, if not go through your options and analyze based on the defensive set up. All players need to anticipate a developing situation and not shut off mentally or watch the ball.

Player 1: Should be right footed, a good striker of the ball, and patient enough to go through the decision process.

Player 2: Should be left footed, a good striker of the ball, and patient enough to go through the decision process.

Player 3: Should be a good finisher.

Player 4: Should be a good striker of the ball, a good decision maker, and a good finisher.

All other Players: Should be in support positions, aware of the plays and their options, and not crowding space of the potential play(s).

Psychology of Winning: Without self dicipline, success is impossible.

College:

Homework:

Practice Mantras: You are not yet Ronaldo, make the right decision for the best chance on goal. 100% of shots off frame or over the bar do not go in.
