6 Cone Passing (15 mins)

Set up 6 cones, 3 red, 3 blue. Number the lines 1,2,3. Player starts on level one inside the 3 cones. Coach/Feeder stands opposite. Feeder and player play one time passes, when coach calls a number the player backs up or runs forward to that number and continues to play. I.e if the player is at level #1 and coach calls out #3, the player backs up to #3 and continues playing one time passes.

+ When a player is at level, coach can call out a color (red or blue ). if the coach calls red player checks to red and then back the center before passing the ball back. Note, if red is on the players right (coaches left) the play returns to the middle and plays a pass with their left foot.

+ coach calls out numbers and colors at the same time. i.e if a player is at #1 red and coach calls out #3 Blue player checks straight to #3 blue and then to the middle of line #3 before playing the ball back to coach. As the player becomes more confident the coach can start switching the numbers up faster.

First touch box (15 mins)

Set up a Square with cones or poles, mark the two bag poles in blue and the front two red.

Player (red) starts in the middle of the square. Coach/Feeder starts on the outside of the square. Coach/Feeder plays a pass into the middle of the square. The players bounces the ball back to the feeder. The player moves out to the left without the ball. The feeder takes a touch out to the left with the ball and plays the ball back to the player. The player then turns and takes the ball around the back of the square taking on the mannequin. The player then passes the ball back to the feeder who is now on the right of the square. The feeder then plays the ball straight back to the player who takes a touch into the middle of the square starting the sequence again. Play for 90 seconds then flip to go in the opposite direction.

+ Use the colors to indicate which way the player should go. When the player is on the outside of the square coach calls a color. if the coach calls red the player takes their touch into the square bounces the ball back. to the feeder and then goes out the square on the opposite side., if the coach calls blue the player takes their touch around the back of the square and take on the mannequin

First touch box shooting (15 mins)

Stet up a square just outside the 18 yard box, label the opposite corners red and blue . Feeder starts 10 yards away from the goal at the end of the field. Player starts just in front of the mannequin. Feeder starts with the ball, dribbles into the middle of the 18 yard box and plays the ball to the player. The player bounces the ball straight back to feeder. Feeder then takes a touch either left or right (red or blue) and plays the ball back to the player. Player has to react to the way the feeder took their touch. I.e if the feeder takes their touch to red then player has to take their touch to red. After player takes their touch they then have to shoot on the goal. Red is left foot, Blue is right foot.
