Diamonds are Forever
Pitch shape is a diamond with a half way zone (use the yellow box as the half way line).
Split teams into 3 teams of 4. Two teams play - the other team works on their technique.
Players play 3v1 in defending half to try and work a shot. The middle zone is to prevent the defending team from staying high and blocking all shots from close range. Initially noone is allowed in the middle zone.
The striker tries to win the ball back to put pressure on the back 3 as well as to follow in for any rebounds.
Long range goals are worth 3
Rebounds are 1
Strikers winning the ball back off the defenders and scoring is worth 1
Progress to the points illustrated on the diagram. Strikers cannot retreat into the middle zone once the ball striker goes in there.
Decision once they are in there is to either shoot at goal or allow them to passi nto the striker to finish.
Rotate the striker often so everyone gets a chance.
Keep the score all night long.
