Final 1/3 skill practice
full pitch, 2 GK's used.
final 1/3 marked out with 6v3 in there
2v1 in the bigger space on the pitch
players are required to complete 3 passes before they can shoot
emphasis on following up shots for rebounds
and
counter press when lose possession to keep the ball alive and stop the blues playing out
players encouraged to get shots off where possible for as much repetition in and around the opposition goal as possible.
Players also encouraged to get crosses in/get players around the goal to make the crosses effective
If the blues successfully play out into their two attackers they have 6-8 seconds to exploit their overload and score
(realism: to not let recovering defenders stop them)
if it becomes too easy, one of the 6 from the opposite half can recover to make a 2v2 (defender must then delay attack)
2/3 minutes free play before intervention to explain/demoinstrate > go live
