Organization: Players go in pairs. Ball is played and touch takes it through the gap in the defense and goes to goal.
Instructions: Players dribble up the wing, they play a ball to their partner whp bursts through the defense and goes to goal. Same pair now go the other side but reverse roles.
Coaching Points:
1) Speed of dribble.
2) Weight, speed and angle of pass (where is the hole in the defense?)
3) Disguise of pass.
4) Timing of run (choppy steps to hold position then lengthen strides to explode in to the box at the right time).
5) Speed of run (burst in to the box)
6) Positive but controled first touch in the box (keeping in mind the positioning of the GK).

6) Positive but controled first touch in the box (to break through defense but also to maintain possession of the ball to be able to play the wall ball pass).
7) Can this eventually become a first time pass?
8) Secondary run in to the box must be positive and immediate.
9) Secondary runner first time shot (left or right foot).
10) Speed of play here is vitally important to leave defense flat footed and confused.
