2v2 defending exercise

24X24yrds

red team defends for 3mins, rotating pairs each go. Blues score a point if they get in behind the red defenders and across thier line in possesion with the ball. If Red team wins the ball they can counter and get across the blue teams line for a 2pt reward. after 3 mins teams rotate. The team socring most points after completing both attacking and defending role is the winner. play again only with different partners.

Time: 15mins

Empasize the importance of excellent 1v1 defending skills.

Pressure, brakes, footwork, intersept pass or tackle - use of arms in defending.
