Unoposed technical pattern (dribbling) (15 mins)

Time: 4x 3 minutes block, 30sec rest 

Organization:

  • 12L X 6W Gride (multiple depends number of players) 
  • 3-4 Players per grid 
  • Mannequin (cone or flat) As a defender 

Instructions:

  • Players dribble at a mannequin(cone), which serves as adefender, before performing a 1v1 move to beat it.
  • Just after dribbling, pass to the facing player who make a touch i do the same as a relay 
  • each relay = 1pts

Technical and tactical Coaching Points:

  • Dribbling details (dribble and engage defender ,feint with body to unbalance defender, changing pace after dribbling)
  • First touch positive to defender (mannequin) 
  • Be creative and try moves (feint, scissor, croqueta, Zidane)

Opposed 1v1 2v2 (20 mins)

Time: 6x3 minutes blocks, 30sec rest

Organization:

  • 12L X 6W Gride (multiple depends on the number of players)
  • 4-6 Players per grid
  • 1 small goal per grid 

Instructions:

  • This practice sees a competitive 1v1 toward a mini-goalin each of the three channels that is initiated by a passfrom the eventual defender to the attacker
  • After each completion of a 1v1, the attacking player joinsthe defenders’ queue, while the defending player joinsthe attackers’ queue

  • Attacker score in mini goal = 1pts Defender goal = 2 goals

SSP 5v5 Specific Dribbling (20 mins)

Time: Organization: 3x6 minutes block, rest 1min

  • 25L X 20W
  • 2 Big goals 
  • 2 Wide channels 3/4 yards, one each side 
  • GK+4 V GK+4 

Instructions:

  • Players are restricted to a maximum of two touches except when inside the wide • channels inside the opposition half, where there is no limit on touches.
  • Every attack is initiated by the goalkeeper.

     

     

  • Scoring by Goals 

Technical and Tactical Coaching Points:

  • Dribbling detail 1v1 (feint, unbalance defender) 
  • Receiving to play forward 
  • Create passing angle
  • engages a defender, it can free up space for team-mates to exploit
