Title: Sprints (12 minutes - 3 minute rest after sprints - 15 total)
Organization / Activity: 10 Sprints x 20 Yards, 25 second rest

Title: NS-EW possession (20 minutes)
Aim / Objective: Put players in a setting where connecting with a team mate and keeping possession is the key behavior / action for success. Directional & competitive activity.
Organization: Players play 2v2 directional possession. They get a point every time they successful move the ball forward connecting between the lines. Can't go wall to wall
Coaching Points:
- Scan & Reposition every time the ball moves. Players will fail to move every time the ball moves.
- Surface selection & deception. Players will fail to use outside of their foot and will lack creativity. Discuss how dribbling should get you out of trouble not get you into it, pass is option one.
- Players will fail to set the ball. Discuss how setting the ball allows you to move the ball quicker and receive the ball on a higher line.

Title: Play 9v9 (25 minutes)
Notes: The lack of urgency on & off the ball has been an issue with High School players, coaching staff should be aware and encourage quick SOP during this phase.
Plan for failure: Players will fail to find another challenge after playing one or two passes in the same channel, encourage them to switch / circulate the play (principal: Go from a small space to a big space)
Activity / Organization: Players play 9v9 or 7v7. Adapt with numbers.

Cognitive X/O's
Title: Warm Up & X/O's (10 minutes)
Aim: Put players in a fun cognitive setting that gets them competing.
Activity / Organization: Players are in teams, play relay X/O's. Use bibs as markers. Must be done at speed with a ball at your feet, once bib is places in a square player can pass back to a team mates. 3 bibs per team. Think, Play, communicate.
Notes: Keep an eye on the quality of player actions with the ball - just like in a game in situations where the players have to think the overall quality dramatically decreases.
