Dribblers and Passers Grid

15x15 grid.

Constantly moving,four dribblers now try and interfere with the other team who are passing the ball between pairs(one ball between two)

Passers try and make as many passes as they can.

Dribblers are constantly forcing passers to try and take up new positions.

Prog:

Now the passers play on the outside but one passer can step in and step out for two points. They can check in /run in and pass out or turn and dribble back out.

CP

As soon as the dribbler has looked for the passer to block him the passer needs to move to a new position.

Attacking Play GRP

Set Up:

14 Players

1x 7-a-side or 9-a-side goal

2x mini goal

3 attacking stations

2 Red defenders + GK play against 3 Yellow attackers.

GK plays a pass to a yellow attacker to initiate a 3 v 2 attack.

If yellow defenders win the ball, they can score in either of the mini goals

once a goal is scored or play ends all players quickly rotate and the practice starts again

Progression:

Central yellow player starts in as a CF

Think of ways to get defenders unorgansied or unbalanced to coach.

e.g.

after attacking team plays 3 passes 1 defender has to run around small goal or give defenders numbers and shout number and that player needs to run around the goal.

Now have a recovering defender behind the yellows to encourage quick attacks and make it 3v3

Add in a CDM for Defensive team 

Add in an attacking center midfielder to make it 4v3 (with recovering midfield defender)

can add a time limit to score 

Coaching Points:

Attack at speed.

Provide penetrating/supporting runs for the player on the ball

Accuracy and finesse in the finishing

ROTATION -Players move and rotate to create confusion
