Set Up

Create a grid, approximately 30x30.

Players can start with or without a ball (dependent on age) on one side of the grid

Instruction

-Players start by asking, "What time is it Mr. Wolf?"

-Coach shouts out any number regarding how many steps they can take towards him

eg. "8 o'clock!" ... players take 8 steps towards coach

-Keep doing this until they're fairly close

-At some point, coach answers, "Lunch time!" turns, and tags as many as he/she can and those who are tagged become wolves for the next round

-Try this a couple of times, then add in balls

-Each player with a ball, the time is now in regards to as many touches the players can take with balls

-at "Lunch time!" make sure players dribble their ball back, not leave it behind.

Variations

  • Instead of tagging, the wolf must try to kick a players ball away. If your ball gets kicked away you become a wolf.
  • Players must do a certain turn before dribbling back. (inside/outside cut, pull back turn etc...)
  • Players can only use a certain foot. Right or Left foot only
