Red team instructions
- LB (5); Create diamonds with the 2 centre mids, or the number 7 to link play. This player's first thought should be a touch towards the Left winger to play over to them. Make a mix of overlaps and underlaps.

- CAM (10x2); Link play between the striker and wingers, be unpredictable and with movement and drop to support play
- CM (8); Ensure the body is angled towards the ball when you don't have it. Look to receive in space and play wide.

RAM - Start in line with the edge of the right side of the centre circle, play in the middle of the space between the CM and ST
LAM - Start in line with the edge of the left side of the centre circle, play in the middle of the space between the CM and ST

The 2 centre backs have been taken out of what would be a 4-1-4-1. This is to emphasise the treat that wing backs can bring to the attack both wide or inside. Unlike centre backs, full backs typically have the freedom to do both in certain systems.
