Set Up:
Square - 15m x 15m
Organisation:
4 vs 2
The four red attackers attempt to maintain possession and keep the ball of the two blue defenders. If a central red player plays to a red on one of the corners, then they swap positions. The person on the corner dribbles into the area. If the player on the corner receives the ball further than 1 metre away from the corner, then the ball is given to the opposition. Upon winning the ball, blue will try to combine with their outer players and the red central players become the defenders. If the red team has the ball, the two blue players on the corner can't defend or interfere with the play. Drinks break every 6-8 minutes (it's hard work especially if you are defending for long periods)
Coaching Points:
4 vs 2 let the ball do the work
Ball speed
Play what you see
The person on the corner, can your first touch go opposite the direction of the pass
Respect the ball because it's hard work as the defender
