For this session we will continue to work on 1v1 principles in order to efficiently penetrate the ball with pressure. The pressure on this session will mainly be from the side encouraging players to use stop starts to unbalance the defender.

Organization
-20x30 Chanel
-with 2 end zones marked by yellow cones
-attacking team starts with soccer ball each
3 pug goals
Instructions
1. attacking player (#10) must go 1v1 against opposing defender and find a pass to their supporting wide player
2. supporting wide player (#7) must receive on back foot and has 2 touches to score on goal
3. if defender wins ball they must connect with their supporting player
4. after couple rounds switch attacking and defending team roles
5. make it competitive first team to find their supporting player 6, times each player will get 1 MVP point
Coaching Points
1st attacker (player with possession)
-first thought is to penetrate space
-observation of defender
-option to use skill to unbalance defender (risk vs reward)
-head up to find decisive pass
-speed of next movement
2nd attacker (supporting wide player)
-off the ball movement
-read the movements of 1st attacker
-make supporting run vs safe pass option
-align hips to ball to create passing lane
-receiving technique to penetrate
-receive on back foot
Progressions
-add a gk
-1st attacker must combine with 2nd attacker then score for 2 points or go 1v1 for 1 point

Game 1: 1v1 recovery
1. Player A will go 1v1 with the GK
2. after goal is scored or play is broken down player B will attempt to score in opposite side
3. player A will make recovery run to defend against player B
4. then next player on line A will go 1v1 with player B making a recovery run to defend
Game 2: 2v1 recovery
Coaching Point
-Head up recognize space behind the defender
-Commit defender
-decision making when to hold, dribble, and when to run with the ball
-Observe the body position of the defender
unbalance the defender when their momentum is fully committed execute move into space behind

Instructions
Game A
1. teams are split into attackers and defenders
2. Attacker will race against defender without a ball
3. attacker must decide to run straight/perform a stop start or turn at the 2 middle cones
4. defender must shadow attacker and attempt to beat attacker whichever side
5. attacker from the opposite side will repeat
6. after a couple of rounds switch roles
Technical Reps B:
1. every player with a ball
2. each side will set out and a perform a stop start that coach will demonstrate
3. perform stop start with both feet
4. proceed to PG if players are not being challenged by desired stop starts

B.two players will set off from one side of the grid one with the ball and one semi opposed defender.
The player with the ball must dribble along side the semi opposed defender perform a stop start and make it to the opposite side of
the grid(end lines) before the semi opposed defender for 1 point , or make it back to the line they started at using a turn for 1 point.
players switch roles after the opposite group goes.
C) attacking players look to penetrate across and dribble through the gate for 2 points defender can steel the ball and get across the
other side of the blue line for 2 points
