Organization: 25x20 yard grid (adjust as needed) with 4 small goals, 2 teams of 9 split up at the yellow cones, coach on the side with balls

Description: The activity begins with the coach playing the ball into one of the teams and the players play 3v3 to small goals. If a goal is scored or the ball goes out, all 6 players are off back to their lines and the next 3 from each team come on. If a goal is scored, the team who scored gets the next ball from the coach (keeps). If the ball goes out of bounds, whoever the ball went off last is on defense to start the next ball. Play to 3 goals. Quick punishment for losing team.  

Coaching Points

- Positive first touch forward to take space

- Play free player forward as soon as possible

- Head up

- Lose your defender - move away and show, show and spin, move in defenders blind spot

- Pass and move - give and go, overlap, underlap, play and support with good angle

- Decision making - 1v1, take on the defender with moves - 2v1, commit defender and play or beat off dribble - 1v2, head up and pass

- Creativity - try new moves, take risks

- Defense - mark up 1v1 with pressure and cover, contain, follow runners, communicate, aggressive/physical but fair
