So here's the thought. Baring in mind what I have seen in the ladies section so far and referring to the principles that the Coaching/Playing Committee have decided on I think that for the first half term we should concentrate on the principle of 3 touch play. So let's just break that down a little.
We can't achieve that all at once. I have no doubt in the effectiveness and the target of 3 touch hockey but we must get first things first. So lets concentrate on parts 1 and 3 and get to part 2 as soon as we can. So.............

Hi All,
I know there are no diagrams to go with these words (nice picture of a pitch though!) but there will be. And I thought I'd start using the same format as I hope to throughout the season. Ignore the titles at the top of the page, there is only a limited choice of entries!
In all tiers I would like us to concentrate on the same things. Obviously the groups will differentiate by outcome, by how well they execute the skills and concepts. That is nothing new, it's what all coaches should do, expect the best that each different player can achieve at any particular moment! We don't know from week to week what the numbers will be like so we are going to have to coach the same skill/concepts each week but using different drills/practices/methods to keep them interested. Of course we should be pushing harder for better performances as time progresses.
