Set-up:
Coach & Servers are 6yds out and facing their respective gate with 2-4 soccer balls for servers on sides
Middle gate is 2yds wide, side gates are 4yds
Cones are directly 1yd behind middle poles
Procedure:
1. GK starts in the middle gate, Co serves a volley to GK for a front contour catch
2. GK return ball to Co and then comes around the cone to make a diving save from S1
3. After the diving save, GK comes back to the middle gate, moving in behind the cone, and makes another front contour catch
4. GK then repeats to the other side
2-4 diving saves on each side
Low to High
Coaching Points:
1. Catch top & back of ball on front contour, in front of chest, lean forward a touch
2. Small, quick stepts when moving around cones, always facing the play (no turning)
3. On low diving saves: positive step, hands spread low, one on top, other behind ball, start landing on the side of the thigh and continue through to the side of the body
On collapse diving saves: lean forwards and take a positive step toward the ball, keep hands off the body, place thehead in ilne with the shot, when ball is caught bring it down tothe ground with one hand on top and other behind the ball
4. GK must catch ball before it enters between the poles

Set-up:
S1 is 8-10yds out with supply of balls
S2 is just outside the small box on the end line with a ball
Cone placed slightly off goal line in the middle of goal
Procedure:
1. GK starts on the inside of the cone and S1 plays a low ball to the inside (or almost) of the post
2. GK using the proper technique makes a low diving save and tosses ball aside
3. After the low save, GK shuffles back to the inside of the cone and once he gets there S1 plays a second ball in mid air to the same area of the goal
4. GK makes a collapse save, releases ball and then faces S2
5. As soon as GK faces S2, S2 makes a pass to S1 and S1 shoots for goal on the near side of the goal
2-4 reps each side
Coaching Points:
Use the right technique on diving, adjust angle on the last shoot in the drill

3v3 (4v4) in a 20yd field
Supply of balls by each goal
Procedure:
Play starts from the side of goal
Shoot on goal right away or after a pass - up to coach
Coaching Points:
1. GK always in the ready position
2. Make catch v. parry desicion
3. React to every shot

Activity 1 - Stationary Dives
Set-up:
Two cones 3yds apart
Coach sets up 4yds out facing GK
Proceedure:
1. GK starts by staying down low on the side of his thigh with his back staight up and head turned to Coach
2. Coach plays low ball to the inside of the cone (left thigh, left cone - right thigh, right cone)
3. GK catches ball with proper technique in front of the cone
4. GK returns ball and gets set up again
8-12 reps each side
Low to High
Coaching Points:
1. Set up on the side of the thigh slightly turned, chest square and hands out in front in the ready position
2. Always catch ball before the cones, attack the ball by leaning forward with chest and lead with hands, land on the side of the body
3. 3-hand catching technique - one hand top of ball, other behind ball, and ground is the third one
4. Don't land on elbow, extend the line
