Dynamic Movements and Technical Footwork

Dynamic Movements & Technical Warm-Up

Set up: Every player has a ball. Grid as large as needed for players to have ample space.

Session: On coach's command, all players dribble around the grid performing specific technical footwork (dribble cuts, base system, roll overs, etc). On next command, players will perform specific dynamic movement to the next open ball (high knees, lunges, quad flex, etc). Once at open ball, players then go back to technical footwork.

Footwork: Dribble Cuts, Scissors, Step Overs, Cruyff Turn, V Pull Back, etc.

2 Minute Games

Set Up: 15x25 yard grid with 3 teams of equal numbers. Have two fields set up, as there shouldn't be more than 4v4.

Activity: Two teams play a 2 minute game while the third team is off. At the end of 2 minutes, whichever team wins, stays on. If game is tied at the end, one player from each team will play Rock/Paper/Scissors to see who stays on.

Coaching Points: Using all of the skills learned in previous sessions and applying them to the game.
