Primary Focus - Switching Play - In Possession
Understand when and how to switch the point of an attack based on the pressure applied from the opposition
Organisation -
10 players split into 2 teams of 5 - GKs' used from GK session if available
GK brought in from GK session, Large goals introduced and channel area down each touchline, 1 bounce player in each channel.
Red team in possession must switch play to bounce player before attacking goal.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Progression - attacking team must use both bounce players before attacking, switch play with lowest number of passes or every player must touch the ball before attacking
- bounce players can interchange with attacking team into the channel
Regression - passive defending - use one defending team player to act as magic man if teams are unable to implement the switch.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
3 points - use both bounce players before scoring
1 point - switch play in 3 or less passes

Observe breakdowns in mechanics - control/passing

Primary Focus - Switching Play - In Possession
Understand when and how to switch the point of an attack based on the pressure applied from the opposition
Organisation - 10 players split into 2 teams of 5 (gk's working in different session)
Red team aims to move the ball from one side of the pitch to the other and score in the red goals, once team has scored they can then only score in the remaining coloured goal. If defending team wins ball they can then score in their coloured goal and cycle continues
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Remove goals and use bounce player at either goal ends to enhance realism and continuous play
Regression - Passive defending/jockeying
- add in magic player to create an overload if teams are not getting switches of play
Progression - Fewer passes to get the switch of play
- 3 seconds max to pass ball
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
- Team to score most goal
- longest switching streak
- Makes switches of play in least amount of passes
