Transition Principles

Transition A-D Principles

1. Immediate pressure on the ball to regain possession, force mistake, or prevent the opponent from playing forward

2. Get organized and balanced asquickly as possible

3. Delay the opponents’ attackwhen outnumbered

4. Players that aren't pressing, be ready to support when possession is regained

Transition D-A Principles

• Exploit the opponent whenunbalanced/disorganized
• Pass or dribble forward (Push defensive line up to support and be compact behind the ball)
• Create passing lines
• Keep the ball when you can’tplay forward

Game

• 3 teams of 5
• 3 minute games
• 1 goal wins, winner stays on
• First to 12 points wins
