Forwards Press vs Full Back Outlet
15 minutes. See how the attackers press and isolate the ball. Can the attackers look to double team? Once the attackers have it, are we going direct to score or are we looking to transfer to space in the circle?
We will discuss transition tonight.
Always starts on the sideline 25 with a pass from HB to FB. IFs must stay between the throw down lines and the half way line whilst the defenders have possession. Fs can go anywhere.
Defenders - your aim is to make a connection pass from FB to IF (inside 25 to over half way line)
Attackers - your aim is to win the ball whilst stopping the outlet pass, and then going to score. If the ball is passed to either of the IFs then all FIVE attackers attack the goal and try to score.
Add CH for bounce into areas. IF can link to HB as well, but stay in field.

Forward Movement against Set Defence
15 minutes.
Players 1 and 2 pass the ball between them.
One defender is shadowing them outside the D, attempting to cut off the direct ball to goal.
In the D is a 3v3 (plus GK). Attackers are trying to receive the ball and score.
Speare defender and spare attacker rest behind the goal and rotate every few turns. Defender outside the D is also rotated.
Key Points:
- Attacker timing of movement is essential. We want to receive the ball in the second we have gained away from the defender. We don't want to get there early and then receive as the defender closes the space.
- Attackers MUST work as a 3. Can we block defender and make their ability to stay with us difficult? Possible BOXING OUT?
- Attackers don't want to move a lot; move SMART!
The areas of focus for the Attackers are A, B and C.

Attack v Defence
8 minutes activity, 4 minute rest/discussion/change ends
Defence need to outlet and score down their strong side. Attack need to adjust their press, gain the ball, then high line transfer to create spaces to exploit.
Attack goal = 5 points
Defence goal = 3 points.
Any PCA - let's have a 15 second attack from the PCA team.

2v2 & 3v3
2v2 (+1) and 3v3
FIVE TEAMS OF SIX PLAYERS!
4 minutes of activity, 1 minute recovery (times 5).
2v2 with variations; coned straight goals (carry through), vs GKs (with close goalscoring), diagonal goals (carry through, encourage channeling).
If 7 in the group then resting sub can rotate on with any team during activity. Variation could be that they can join ANY game, to create an overload, and see how the opposition respond.
Focus around double teaming, carry or pass to go forward, elimination skills, 3D.
Goalkeepers are given points per save, double points for starting a counter attack.
6v6 Change Attack - Quarter pitch area, point for every pass through a gate, change direction and use ball pace to expose space.
