This set up can be used for a warm up and sprint work prior to technical drills.
Technical Drill 1
Working player plays a 1-2 and then runs to the orange cone and back to play a 1-2. This continues for 1 min. This is done 2 times each. There will be 2 players per station. Plenty of rest period provided in between runs so explain the mechanics of the pass need to be upheld even when fatigue sets in and that the run should be high quality.
Progression
Working player now pass 1-2 with server and turns to dribble around orange cone and dribble back halfway to pass back in. This is done for 1min and done twice.
Introduce a race before moving on: either passing or dribbling.

Midfield 3 v 3 - Cross introcuced
A 3v3 in the middle fo the circle with all other players standing on the perimeter forming the clircle offering bounce passes. The players forming the circle support the team in possession within the 3v3 game. Use the cross as a guide tothe players in the middle. Avoid being in same cross as a team mate. Move into a vacant square to create and exploit space. Increase rotation with team mates.
Start the drill with a specific team in the middle that must receive the first pass after a rotation etc
Coaching points:
Creative Movement - Rotation/find space
Pass and Move
Shape - don't cluster ensure width and depth
Don't get marked easily - Don't let them see your jersey number
Eager to be on ball
Think ahead/awareness/check over shoulder.
If needed limit touches to increase rate of play.

Possession Games
Game 1 - First to 10 consecutive passes win!
Game 2 - First to 10 passes win but pin a 2v2 in the middle square and both must touch the ball before the team can score. (emphasise inteligent movement in middle).
Game 3 - Remove the wide goals and pin 2 wingers that can only travel up and down boundary. Once team achieves 8 passes look to play/switch play to either winger and schore from a cross. Ensure the both teams now have directional goals. Wingers support both team and the opposite winger not crossing is expected to hit the back post.
