Warm Up (15 mins)

Warm Up

Passing excercise.

Groups of 4 or 5. If 5 add an extra cone.

Outside players always pass into middle player.

Middle player recieves ball on back foot and plays to another outside player.

Check shoulder.

Move away from cone.

Swap middle player every few minutes.

Playing from GK (25 mins)

Playing From GK

Blue team set up as a back 4 and a midfield 4 and try to score into the mini goals.

Reds set up as a midfield 4 and front 2 and try to score past the GK.

Concentrate the focus on playing from GK to defender and through the centre mid to play forwards and/or wide.

Coaching Points:

If the ball from full back to winger up the line is not available, can we play through the centre mids?

Centre mids need to create an option for the full back. How can centre mid do this? How might the centre mid receive the ball? What factors might influence his decision?
