Soccer Tennis (10 mins)

Pre-Session Activation Game 1 - Soccer Tennis

Organization:

  • 10x Balls
  • 8x-12x Markers for Court
  • Net, Large Cones, Bench to create net.

Game Type:

  • 1. Feet & Head Only.
  • 2. Hand to control -> Foot/Head to Strike.

Game Rules:

  • 1x Bounce Only (Before or After touch)
  • Line is in bounds.
  • 1x Fault Serve Only.
  • First to 7 or 11 (have to win by 2 points)

Organization:

  • 1x Soccer Ball (Change Size for Difficulty)
  • 2-8 Players

Game Type:

  • 1 Touch - Hands Only
  • 2 Touch - Alternate Hands
  • 2 Touch - 1 Hand, 1 Foot

**Have to make the specific amount of touches**


Game Rules:

  • HORSE Rules.
  • Too many touches = Letter.
  • Too few touches = Letter.
  • Ball Hits Ground = Letter.
  • First to spell out word = Forfeit.
  • All players involved - not knockout style game.

Rondo 1 (10 mins)

Pre-Session Activation Game 4 - Rondo

Organization:

  • 4x Markers Court. 
  • 1x Soccer Ball (Change Size for Difficulty)
  • 4-6 Players
  • Option 2 = Place Balls on top off cones.

Game Type:

  • 1 Touch
  • 2 Touch
  • 3v1
  • 4v1 
  • 4v2

Game Rules:

1. HORSE

  • Too many touches = Letter.
  • Too few touches = Letter.
  • Pass Hits cone = Letter
  • Pass knocks ball off cone = Letter. 
  • Pass has to go through the square, pass outside the square = letter.
  • First to spell out word = Forfeit.
  • All players involved - not knockout style game.

2. Regular Rondo

  • Defender Wins Ball or Player Loses the Ball becomes defender.
  • Nutmeg Defender/s = Stay in 
  • 10x Passes = Defender/s stay in.

Set exercise up as shown above, adapting the sizes to suit theGk's specific to the session.

4x Gk's will pass the ball to each other, ensuring the ball does notenter the inside of the cones, or hitting any of the cones over.Initially, there is no pass restriction on the players and there isn't apassing sequence they must stick to.

Progression(s)

1. Place a touch restriction on the players
2. Gk's must pass the ball in a 1-4 sequence
3. Place a touch and sequence restriction on the players4. Adapt restrictions during 'live' play

Rondo 3

4x Gk's will pass the ball to each other, and players will provide the furthers angle of support possible after each pass is made for the new play on the ball.

Example:

Once Green Passes to Blue, Yellow and Red need to make new angles of support for Blue. Both Players have shifted to their right in order to create the furthest angle of support for the blue player

1. Place a touch restriction on the players
2. Gk's must pass the ball in a 1-4 sequence
3. Place a touch and sequence restriction on the players4. Adapt restrictions during 'live' play.

b.) One pass through the triangle and One pass around the triangle.

Yellow GK is the focus player with 3x other gk's acting as supporting players. Red GK is the lead GK and calls our colors where yellow GK must pass to. At any stage the red gk can instruct one of the supporting gks to switch positions as show in the animation

1. Gk's must pass the ball in a sequence.

2. Minimum / Max touch 

3. Receive with back foot and play with front foot.

4. Use of one foot only
