Defending The Overload (15 mins)

Waves Game - Defending the Overload:

-3x3 Minutes, 1 Minute Rest

-28 x 20 Yards


-Defending Team Always Has One Less Person

-Begins With Red Team Playing 2v1 -> 3v2 -> 4v3, Can Only Shoot After All Players Have Crossed the 18 Yard Box Line

-Each New Wave Occurs When a Goal Is Scored Or When Ball Goes Out of Play

-If Green Regains Possession They Can Score If Under 5 Seconds


Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):

-A Progression Will Be That The Green Team Must Wait for the Red Team to Cross the 18 Yard Box Before Sending Defenders

-A Regression Will Be That the Red Team Must Complete 5 Passes Before Scoring to Allow More Time for the Green Team to Organize

Challenges, Conditions or Targets:

-The Challenge Will Be For the Defending Team to Pick the Right Moment to Be Aggressive and Get Pressure to The Ball Knowing They Are a Man Down
