Stations (15 mins)

Set Up:

Set up the station in the way 

Instructions:

Players rotate between the stations as shown above. The station will be 15 minutes a whistle will be blown to change stations. 

Station Leader: You will stay at your station for the entire session while groups come to you. 

Group Leader: you will have a group pf players and rotate with them to the different stations.

Station Leaders will have Yellow pinnies.

Group Leaders will have Blue pinnies.

Tag Games (15 mins)

Organization:


Need a large open space for players to run around in.

Description:

Freeze Tag: All the players are in the game and the coaches are trying to tag the players. If a player is tagged, their teammates can unfreeze them by touching them.

Soccer Ball Tag: Players move freely within a grid to avoid the catchers. If someone is tagged they shoud stand still (freeze) with their legs open holding the ball above their head (to indicate they are frozen) and their legs astride in order for a free player to pass the ball through and free them. Game continues until everyone is caught.

(Players are tagged when the catcher touches their ball with their foot)

Pinnie Tag: Each player has a pinnie tucked into their shorts and the they run around trying not to get their pine taken by another teammate or coach.

Relay Races (15 mins)

Organization:

  • Create two or three relay stations for your group.
  • Need one ball per player

Description:

  • Have the players run through the relay race going:
    • Forward
    • Side shuffle
    • Backwards
*Utilize hoops and incorporate some jumping, rolling, and skipping.

Progression: 

- Have the players dribble to the top and ball without weaving through the cones.

 - they can start by dribbling there and then have their teammates go next.

 - now they need to dribble to the top cone and back.

Make it a race! How fast can you finish the race?

6 Pinnies per field

Instructions:

3v3 (min) or 4v4 (max)

No corners

No goalies

Restart with dribble in or kick-in
