Instructions:
Game 1 (Blue Box) - Passer plays into Attacker with defender on his back. Attacker attempts to score in large goal (with GK) for 3 points. If defender / GK's win ball, they go to mini-goal for 1 point.
Game 2 (Red Box) - Defender plays ball into red box. Attacker must receive the ball on the run. Attacker attempts to score in furthest forward goal for 2 points or turn and play into further back goal for 1 point. If defender wins the ball he may dribble over the endline where attacker started for a point.
Game 3 (Green Box) - Defender plays the ball through attacker's legs to initiate game. Attacker attempts to turn and score in either mini-goal for 2 points. Should defender win possession, he attempts to score in counter goal for a point.
Coaching Points:
Game 1 - Timing of movement to receive. Read pressure angle and momentum. Can I spin defender? Can I face up defender? Can I receive side on and protect the ball?
Game 2 - Ability to receive on the run / protect ball if needed. Can you get forward to create option to score in furthest forward goal (stop-start)? If not, can you turn back and take your point?
Game 3 - Ability to hold defender off and get possession. Can you spin defender, face up, or just need to protect it for a moment? How to unbalance defender on your back.
