1 side go at a time (unopposed to start)
players sprint out on GK call- GK rolls ball in front of any player.
players must have shot at goal after no more than 4 passes.
max 2 touches before pass or shot.
key points
runs must be high intensity
passes played in front of players- enough to make player sprint to reach ball.
at least 1 diagonal run each attack- when possible, play ball into this diagonal movement
ball should not slow down at any point.
play pass first time if possible with quality.

Transition between defending and quick break
setup
Blue team defend in own half- defensive unit setup with players working together to close space.
when team win ball back from reds/ blue GK gets ball- straight and diagonal runs done at high pace by 3/4 blues.
Max 4 passes until shot is taken.
Reds are 'semi active' in attempting to defend against break to start.
3 Reds must stay in defensive half as their team attack.
When Blue attack breaks down, Red GK starts next attack.
Blues Defend deep again.
5 min game then teams change over roles- repeated 3 times- developing quality and difficulty with each game.
Key points
Forward runs creating width/ diagonal movement- done at high tempo.
passes played in front of player's run.
timing of pass is vital.
Drive into space to commit defender where possible.
Extension
Reds become more active in both halves of pitch when defending.
