ACTIVE WARM UP

Method:

Coaching Points:

·       Stretch arms across shoulders

.  Light jogging (17m X 2)

·       Side shuffles (17m)

·       Long Skip – Knees Up (17m)

·       Long Stretch (4 over 17m)

·       Jog, point foot up. Reach to touch (17m)

·       Kick across body on move – L &R (17m)

·       Lean forward with leg back to 90 degree. Hold and balance (17m)

·       Windmill arms forward and back (2 x 17 m)

  •  Feet though rings and reverse through cones.

·       Stretch arms ascross shoulder

Bounce Ball

POLES ACTIVATION (10 mins)

Method:

        a. Keeper starts behind left pole or cone. Duck forward with fast feet around middle cone. Proceeds around the right cone and Set for face catch

   b.  Repeat in the opposite direction back to left pole.

  c.  Keeper moves to front of Pole 3 after 360 around that pole.  Coming forward for high catch.

    d.   Keeper ducks around the back of Pole 1, set and volley back throw from server.

Reps x 3 up to 4 keepers

5 STATION SHOOTING DRILL (15 mins)

Method:

5 activities drill to test keepers endurance and recovery.

1. Bounced ot thrown ball caught by keeper.  Returned to server.

2.  Immediate shot from Player 2 on set.

3. Keeper moves to their right post where pass must be gathered low to their left.

4. Immediate shot from Player 4 on set.

5.  One on One from player 5

Coaching Points:

Can keeper recover quickly with quick feet while remaining balanced when set?

GOALIES WARS (15 mins)

Method:

Two GKs and two goals 15m apart. Pitch size 17m x 15m. 4 metre shooting line from each goal.  No rebounds permitted.

Each goalkeepers gets 6 efforts. 4 throws , 1 kick from the ground and one drop-kick from hands.

Object is to score past the other keeper. Most goals win.
