Organization:
- shaded and cones represent interconnected space
- 2 teams
- cones set up forming boxed areas forming 8x8 or 10 x10 spaces running in a series
Instructions:
- 2 players from each team stand facing each other (no ball)
- 1 player stands directly (centrally)between the 2 cones, the other stands directly in front.
- player standing on the line (imaginary line between the 2 cones) must move laterally (side-to-side) towards left or right cone
- oppositely, defensive player must move quick enough to keep up with the movement. Also, player as marker is exercising restraint not to lunge forward or touch opposite player.
- player may get a point if they are able to outwit marker either by going through end zone, moving between double cones, or getting to L or R (see next image)
Coaching Points/Questions:
- positioning- is players facing forwards? Are they standing flat footed?
- Is marker able to keep up with movement of lined player?
