As before, but now players work in 3's - This time the ball starts with a winger.
1. Winger drives wide with the ball
2. Central midfielder makes an underlapping run
3. Winger plays the ball in front of the Centre midfielders run
4. Ball is pulled back to striker
5. Stirker hits the near post and connects with the ball.
Teams take it in turns to attack.
3 v 3 - Each player takes a turn in the different positions and has 3 attempts each. Then the teams swap sides.
Teams have 18 chances to score. Team that scores the most wins.
Keeper works in sets of 6. then swaps over
1 coach works with keepers. 1 coach works with forwards.

3 lines of 5 cones, 50m from goal
2 players on each line, 1 is a striker, 1 is a defender.
Defender always starts on cone 5.
Striker chooses which cone to start from
Both from a standing start - striker heads for goal, defender chase him down - defender can move as soon as the striker touches the ball
If you score you get that number of points (cone 5 = 5 points, cone 1 = 1 point) butif you miss the defender gets your points. If the defender touches the ball (see grid 1 and 3 in the drill) he gets double points.
When you have been the striker you then go to the back of another line and become the defender, when you've been the defender you become the striker on the same line.
Key focus
- scoring under pressure
- recovery runs to put striker under pressure

Striker Wars (10 mins)
Players work in pairs aginst another pair.
They each have 12 scoring opportunities and take it in alternate turns.
1 player is the winger, 1 is the stiker, 3 turns from the left. Then swap positions.
Once the pair has had 6 turns from 1 side, they swap with their opponents and have 6 turns from the other side. The pair that scores the most goals in 12 attempts wins.
Key points are:
1. good cross fizzed in to near post area
2. good timing of the run to the near post
3. good connection on the shot
Keep the same keeper for a set of 6, then swap over. (when teams swap sides)
1 coach works with keepers. 1 coach works with forwards.
