Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Theme game, search for width

Organization/Setup:

• Two big goals in a half field space .

  Two teams of 7 players each are formed, plus the respectivegoalkeeper.

  Each team places 2 players wide, in the side corridors, inthe offensive half.

  Therefore a situation of 5 against 5 + goalkeepers inside.

Instructions/Achievement Criteria:

• The principle that I wanted to encourage in the boys is notto force plays inside if there is no space, preferring to go wide the in caseof opponent density in the middle.

• And once the ball reaches the outside?

• The outsider must be able to read the specific game situation, analyzing the possibility of immediately serving a free partner.
  Or enter the field in conduction to finish on goal, or serve the teammate who overlapped.

• When the cross comes from left outsider the right outsider shouldenter in the center and attack the opponent blind spot and vice versa.

Coaching Points/Questions:

• Play outside to play inside;

  if I don't find space centrally, go wide (outside) to findthe free man inside;

  side finishing and attack on the opponent's goal (times andmethods)

Regressions/Progressions:

• Depending on what interests us most to develop, the firstgoal on a cross from the wing can be worth double, while that on thedevelopment of an overlap maybe triple;

  the normal goal is worth 1.
