Session Objective: Attacking Principles (U6 – U9):
Penetration/Mobility/Improvisation
- Can you run with the ball?
- Can you keep your head up when running with the ball?
- Can you hide the ball?
- Can you keep the ball?
- Can you use both feet when running with the ball?
- No Standing Zone!
- Correct running/dribbling with the ball technique.
- Ensure you show players how to protect the ball.
- Heads Up.
- Dribble to score.
- Get around obstacles.

Session Organisation:
Rules/Explanation:
- Players start at the corner of any square. They try to dribble across/along the area and get to another square.
- Coach's aim is to tag or win the ball off a player while dribbling.
- If a player is tagged/loses while dribbling the ball between corners they perform a ball feeling exercise (eg., toe taps, sole taps).
- Other players are trying to dribble/ run with the ball between corners as to not get tagged.
- Count how many squares you reach by dribbling the ball and not getting caught.
- The game continues until time is called by the coach.
