Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Line Ball

• Time: 15-20 min
• Dimensions: 55x45
• Players: 7v7+2
• Task Description: Each team has a GK running their end-line and there are two neutral wingbacks. Each team is tasked with playing across the opponents end-line via pass or dribble. GK can either serve as target players for the opposing team or help defend the end-line. Big focus on positional interchange and rotations. 

• Coach Questions: How should you position yourself to best be

  able to play forward?...What can you do to help your team break the

  lines?...What can you do to increase your options

  each time you receive the ball?...How can you create space?...When should we reset the ball?

• Coaching Cues: “Look to break”, widen out, “Keep scanning”, “Check your shoulder”, “be active in space”, “find a window”, attack the space
  
• Progressions: Touch limit....pass must be made to wide player before scoring...add neutral in the midfield for overload.
