DESCRIPTION/ORGANIZATION:
4x4 yard box in the middle of the field
Cone placed 8 yards from the box
1) Players in the front of the line dribble into the box, turn, and pass the ball back to the front of the line.
They follow their pass back and join the back of the line.
2) A dribbles into the box and turns, A plays ball to B, B plays the ball first time into A path, A plays back to B who starts the next sequence.
3) Players at the front of the line dribble into the box and pass to their right, using the inside of the left foot, follow your pass. (Switch to Left)
4) *Advanced* Players at the front of the line dribble into the box and pass to their right, using the outside of the right foot, follow your pass. (Switch to Left)
COACHING POINTS:
Fundamentals: positive step to side of ball, bend non-kicking leg into the pass, body balanced centrally, ankle locked, firm contact with the middle of the ball, follow through to target.
Moving towards the ball or holding up pressure depending on the pressure and weight of pass.
Receive the ball in a way that sets up yor next action (dribble, pass)
