Organization: Set a 8y x 8y box within a 25y x 25y area. Places cones on the edge of each corner of the box (red & yellow cones). Each player with a ball, including the defender in the middle.
Description: Players on the outside will work in pairs as a team to get as many points as they can by dribbling in and around the red cone on their corner. Once they are back to the yellow cone, their partner can go. The defender (in blue) must keep their ball with them and look to tag any player trying to dribble around their red cone. If the defender is at their cone waiting, that attacker must perform a turn to go back. Play 90sec rounds and total the points at the end for winner/loser. Change defender each time.
Attacker gets 1pt for successfully dribbling around red cone without getting tagged
Defender gets 1pt for tagging player as they dribble around red cone
Coaching points: First 2/3 touches = big cover more space. As they arrive at cone, smaller touches staying tight to cone. As they complete their dribble around the red cone - encourage a big exit touch towards their yellow cone. When dribbling forward with space = laces. When dribbling around red cone = inside / outside / sole. Head up, eyes up - scanning.
Progressions: Outside of the foot around cone, left foot / weak foot dribbling. Give specific turns to use if defender blocks your cone (cruyff, inside cut, outside cut, U-turn, L-turn etc.)

Organization: Create 2 areas approximately 15y x 25y. Place 2 gates at the defenders end (red and yellow cones) and 1 mini net at the attackers end. Have 4/5 additional balls at the defenders side ready to use.
Description: Defenders (blue) begin by passing the ball across to the attackers and playing 2v2. The Attackers (white) are looking to score by dribbling the ball through 1 of the 2 gates (red or yellow). If the defenders win the ball - they are looking to score in the mini goal. Switch sides once you are done.
Coaching points: 1st attacker, drive at defender to create options. 2nd attacker (support player) movement away from the ball to create 1v1 or 1v2. 1v1 scenario we like to dribble and take the player on, 1v2 scenario we should have an open teammate to make a pass to. Angles and movement from support player to drag defender away / be an option. Dribble with same foot on the side that teammate is on to help disguise dribble or pass. Use teammate as decoy (swivel hips, scissor as fake pass etc.) then go 1v1. Where is the space? May need to shield & protect the ball with body to help buy teammate time.

Organization: 20x25 field of play. Depending on nets available, use additional fields for endzone games (no nets)
Description: 3v3 / 4v4 Free play game (multiple fields). Score on goals or dribble and stop ball in end zone. Play kick in OR Dribble in if ball goes out of play.
Coaching Points: Follow Session topic + General Principles of play
Progressions: 1 ball game (team touches their net after a goal). multi ball game (touch your net after you score). everyone with a ball (dribble around your net after you score)

Warm up: Stuck in the Mud (10 mins)
Organization: 10y x 10y / 12y x 12y area based on number of players. Create 2 areas if needed (8-10 max per group).
Description: Players play a game of stuck in the mud tag. 2 players are it (red) while the rest try to avoid being tagged. If tagged by someone who is it, that player is now stuck in the mud and cannot move with their feet spread wide. Teammates must save them by crawling through the legs of the stuck player. Swap players who are it every 2/3 minutes.
Coaching points: distance, space, timing of fakes, unbalance defender, change of speed.
Progressions: add a ball! Each player must now travel with a ball at their feet & nutmeg teammates to free them by dribbling the ball to them and through their legs.
+add in different ball manipulation exercises (outside, inside, laces, sole, skill)
