Equipment:
- 20x20 area
- 6 cones (2 cones for starting line ups & 2 gates)
- 2 teams split up equally on opposite sides of the area (4v4, 5v5 etc.)
Activity:
- Player 1 must pass the ball across the area to Player 2
- Player 1 must transition right away to defending the 2 gates
- Player 2 must transition right away to attacking the 2 gates
- In order to score, Player 2 must dribble through the gates and NOT PASS/SHOOT
- Player 1 must try to win the ball off of Player 2, once they win the ball play is done
Coaching Points:
- Quick AttackingTransition/Staying Positive toward goal,
- Creative Decision Making & Switching Direction/gates when necessary, to throw off the defender
- First Touch when receiving the ball
- Passing Technique
- Defending the gates, not jumping in, arms length apart & slanted not straight on

- 2 equal teams, 4v4, 5v5 etc.
Activity:
- Small Sided Game, normal rules
- Corner Kicks, Pass/Dribble in, etc.
- Make sure to change positions halfway through
- Potentially have a goalie, or have no goalies

Warm-Up (15 mins)
Set-Up
- Set up a 20m x 20m grid, Soccer balls are placed randomly within the grid and away from players.
- To encourage leadership, select players to decide which move to carry out.
Activity
- Players move around within the grid in different ways, jogging, skipping, walking, etc
- Coaches will call out high knees, butt kicks, open the gate, close the gate, high kicks, etc.
- On the coaches call the players to move to one of the free soccer balls and perform 5 repetitions of a ball manipulation skills chosen by the coach ie. toe taps, bells, roll overs
- Players will get the opportunity to suggestion some skills, which will allow them to get some responsibility and use their creativity
- Shark Game: For the last 2 minutes, select one player as a hunter, attempting to kick the remaining player's soccer out the grid. Once a player is "out", they must grab the ball overtop of their heads and the players still "in" must kick their ball between their legs.
