Organization
1. Two teams play possession - 2 outside targets PER TEAM and 3v3 in the middle. To score the attacking team must play from one target/outside player to the other. Inside players are restriced to move into a free square.
2. Two touch max.
3. THREE Sets of 3 minutes (1 min rest)
Progressions
1) Change outside/target players
2) Attacking players may move between boxes (defenders may not) but must be replaced by another player - player rotation.
Coaching Points
1. Movement off the ball (timing) is vital in one touch play. Create space by checking away from desire receiving area. Ability of players to make 3rd man runs off the bounce pass.
2. Ability to use one touch pass or 1st touch receiving technique to eliminate numbers. Key objective of the activity is to eliminate numbers.
3. Accuracy & detail of pass, reading teammates movement, playing to correct foot. "Each pass has a story"
