Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): 3v3 attack vs Defence lanes

Set up: Area 30x30 yrds split into 3 lanes with 3 target goals or gates at one end. Players in teams of 6 split into 3's. Defenders start with ball at side of target goals.

Format: 3v3, coach play into attackers & defend, players must keep to their own lanes but can play passes between each other, so that the focus is always on 1v1. Attackers look to score in any 3 target goals, Defenders look to delay and intercept ball & counter to end line. Rotate roles after 3 mins.

Progressions: A normal 3v3 game, Players can move between lanes but keep lanes in place as a point of reference for players. 

Key points: Decision making pass or dribble

Be aggressive in your attacking play and look to dominate your opponent with attacking unpredictable play. 

1st touch to receive & attack opponent.

Support of the ball & decision making when passing, feet or space.
