THE SESSION:
- 3 Teams Red, Blue and Black plays in the area divided by 3 zones. The team in the middle area is the defending team.
- When red has the ball, 2 black defenders have to go and defend against 5 Red players. Red team must do 5 passes before switching the ball to the blue team.
- The 3 Black players in the middle must prevent the switch
- As soon as a blue player controls the ball 2 black players go and press the blue team and the 2 players pressing the red team come back in the middle area.
- Each ball wins by the defending team equals to 1 goal.
- Rotate team after 3 minutes. Competition among the teams.
PROGRESSIONS:
- When a defending team wins the ball they take the place of the attacking team.
- Switch side as soon as possible

- Quick pressure if possession is lost
- Quality passing when in possession
- Continuous scanning to assess where teammates are positioned
- Movement to create space in tight areas

THE SESSION:
- This practice focuses on players passing quality when in possession.
- Two teams of six players start in the middle of the hexagon with a third neutral team stationed on the exterior on each side.
- The team in possession may use the outside players to pass to creating an attacking overload ( 6 v 6 +6).
- For every 5 successful passes played a goal is awarded with the team ending with the most goals after the 5-minute period winning
- Rotate teams after 3 minutes
PROGRESSIONS:
- Outside players play for specific teams only
- Players outsidecan rotate inside after receiving a pass
KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:
- Quality passing when in possession
- Continuous scanning to assess where teammates are positioned
- Movement to create space in tight areas
- Connect with neutral players, helps relieve pressure
- Quick rotations with outside players when available
- Focus on penetrating passes, quick pressure if possession is lost

THE SESSION:
- This counter attacking practice begins with a 4 v 3 the central area, with an attacking midfield box 4 against a midfield 3 playing point up.
- After making 5 passes attacking midfielders can finish against the Goalkeeper.
- If Reds gain possession they can initiate the counter attack. With an awaiting front 2 against 2 defenders, a forward pass can be played and one support player can join in the counter, creating a 3v2 overload.
PROGRESSIONS:
- An additional Blue defender can support midfield players from deep making it 4v4
- Add 1 Red defender to defend 2v1 against the 2 attacking blue players
KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:
- Recognition of space created by attackers to penetrate
- Execution of final pass and finish
- Speed of attacking runs on the counter
- How quickly can we support forward players?
- Where are spaces appearing on the counter attacking and how can you penetrate?

- Emphasis on bringing out the topic during the game.
- If a goal is scored when possession is win in the opponent's half, it counts for double.
