Warm-Up
Warm Up - 5 - 7 minutes
Organization: Call everyone into the center Circle or circle of cones, Have coaches and buddies help get everyone there together. Head Coaches should take everyone through a warm up that should stay familar each week.
This activity starts with everyone together which helps to ease players into following directions and getting everyone going. Warm-up should last 5-7 minutes. After the warm-up players will be assigned to a station to start. Coaches will try to group players of similar abilitywhen sending groups to stations.

Zig-Zag Dribble and Shooting Curcuit for TOPSoccer
Zig-Zag Shooting Activity for TOPSoccer
Players will start at the starting gates on either side. Players will dribble by zig zagging thru the cones and then take a shot to score a goal. Give "big praise" and follow to the next starting gate. Activity is continuous. How many goals can we score?
Buddies should have a ball/s to help if a player misses so they can shoot again. This helps with the disappoint when a player misses and helps keep the player focused so that they can continue without getting upset. Giving them a quick ball helps redirect their attention from their missed shot and allows for a more active player tyipically.

2v2 Game for TOPSoccer
2 v 2 Game: 25 x 15 yd area
Organization: 4-6 players and equal number of buddies. In this game, all players start with a ball and can score by dribbling back and fourth up the field. Buddies can and should act as defenders or goalkeepers to make it fun. Once a player scores then give them a ball or have them get one for themselves dependent on their abilites and have them go score again.
If you have a higher funtioning group then you can try to play 2v2 or 3v3 with the buddies split between the two teams to make is a 4v4 or 6v6 game. Have vests at the station to accommadate a larger game if needed. Even in this scenario with higher funtioning players, all goals should be scored by players and not buddies and multible balls can be used if needed.

Rainbow Maze Shooting on Big Goal for TOPSoccer
Rainbow Maze Shooting Game - Large Goal
Have your players line up at the tall cones and they will try to dribble through the maze and shoot on the GoalKeeper. Once a goal is scored the next player can go. Buddies will go with players to help them get through the maze. Cheer loud for each goal!
This activity seems to be the players favorite. We think it is because they get to score on the big goal and have a GK and everyone cheers. Some players want to do this activity more then one round and we let them if it is keeping their attention.

Cone Knock Down Game
Cone Knock Down Game: Set up two liines of cones 5 to 10 years apart
Each player will line up behind a row of cones with their buddy and will try to pass/shoot ball to knock over a cone on the other side for a point. If they hit one you should "cheer". How many cones can they knock down.
As this game progresses we might move the cones closer together or move them 5 yrd apart so that the players have more success. Modify based on the needs of the players. The key is to create an enviroment where the players can suceed.
If players are struggling to stay focused you can take some stand up cones and do a bowling game at the end.
