Organization:
30x30 yard grid
Players in pairs
1 ball each pair
Instructions:
- Players will warm up individually with one ball each using Xavi, Messi and Ronaldo techniques
- Players will then work in pairs with one ball between two. Player 1 will pass into player 2 who will take a touch out the triangle and into open space. Player 1 will then move into the triangle.
Coaching Points:
Communication
Awareness of space/pressure etc.
Try take first touch on back foot
Take first touch out other side of triangle
Quality/weight of passes.
Progressions:
Practice taking first touch with inside/outside foot and add disguise

Organization:
1.30 x 30 yard area set up as shown
2.3x3x3 yard triangles (Mouse Holes) set up throughout area
3.Half of players start in triangle
4.Half of the players in area with a ball
5. 2 players are Tom's with pinnie in hand
Description:
1.Players have to avoid getting caught by Tom with cheese (ball). Players can enter a mouse hole when they pass a ball into the mousehole forcing the other mouse to leave.
2.Once inside a mouse hole you are safe from Tom's paws.
3. Only one Jerry can be in a Mouse Hole at anyone one time.
4. If you are accupying a mouse hole and another Jerry runs into your Hole you MUST leave that hole IMMEDIATELY
5. If tagged Tom drops pinnie on ground and takes Jerry's ball. Jerry picks up the pinnie and becomes new Tom. (no tag-backs).
P.S. When receiving the ball you cannot leave the through the same side that another mouse enters from

Organization:
20x10 yd areas, with 4 yd endzones in front of each goal
4 groups of 3 set up as shown, center line for each activity has a ball each, extra balls in center
Instructions:
- Player with the ball passes to waiting player to begin activity then defends
- Receiving player takes first touch to control, attacking either direction, and tries to score any time after his first touch
- Defending player can not move until the ball has reached the receiving player
1 pt for scoring from central area, 2 pts for scoring in shaded area in front of goal (encourage players to attack the space with their first touch)
Coaching Points:
All previous points
Observe the position of the defender to determine the space to take the touch into
Disguise the direction of the first touch
Use first touch to set up next action, i.e. a pass into the goal
Progressions:
1 - Defender can start to close down the ball as soon as he releases the pass
2 - Add GK's into rotation in each goal
Regressions:
1 - No goals, dribble into endzone to score

Organization:

5. All Players (Jerry's) have a pinny hanging out their shorts to represent a tail
Description:
1.Players have to avoid losing their tail. You can lose your tail if Tom comes to eat (take out of shorts) it before you get into a mouse hole
2.Once inside a mouse hole you are safe from Tom's paws.
3. Only one Jerry can be in a Mouse Hole at anyone one time.
4. If you are accupying a mouse hole and another Jerry runs into your Hole you MUST leave that hole IMMEDIATELY or risk losing your tail.
P.S. When leaving the Hole you cannot leave the through the same side that another mouse enters from
5. Game ends when Tom collects all the Tails or if the kids get too tired.
