A Defending session trying to work on the principles of intensity when pressing and closing down.

1v1v1 Exercise
Blue player starts in the middle and goes in to press either the yellow or the red. When they win the ball, the player that loses the ball immediately sprints across to press the opposite player and try to win their ball. The same repeats and continues.

1v1 Principles

4v4v4 Exercise
Same principles as previous drill. The game begins with the Blues defending, 2 players will press the
Reds until they win the ball, then the next 2 Blues will press the Yellows. Blues defend for 2 minutes then defending team switches.
Progression - All 4 defenders go for the full press instead of just 2. Team that wins the most balls in allotted time wins.

4v4v4 Exercise
Same principles as previous drill. The game begins with the Blues defending, the Reds and Yellows will work together to keep possession 8v4. If the ball is turned over, the team that loses the ball becomes the next defensive group.
