Description

Organisation

Field is a simple set up, dependant on numbers either using one or two goals available, split between one group or two. Cones laid out to mark where shots will be taken from. For a foundation level session this works the basics well and is an enjoyable session for those working on the most enjoyable part of the game in scoring goals. Quick rotations and transitions allow for maximum ball rolling time and stopping interventions with the whole group, bar opening demonstration, shouldn't been many if at all. Having players in a small wait allows time to jump in with individual interventions. With the set up between technical and skill remaning the same there is no need for moving equipment bar maybe gathering balls up. If in use of both goals also this allows for another quick transition into the relevant small-sided game. For this 3,2,1 a shooting game based on maximum reward for more risk with shots, is fun for especially the younger age groups. Promoting the confidence to get shots off and take risk where maybe there was none before. Bringing a small ball or futsal ball in at the end for next goal wins adds an air of competition and excitement also. This should also add in as many shots as possible as teams want to try and win the game.
