Football/Soccer Session (Difficult): Pass and Move Chess

Set up of players

Set up one half of the pitch with 5 rows of 7 cones separated evenly

Set up 7 player formation (Red) as they would set up for a game on the first two rows from the main goal

Set up a 7 player formation (Blue) as per the red team

Blue response

Set up one half of the pitch with 5 rows of 7 cones separated evenly

Set up 7 player formation (Red) as they would set up for a game on the first two rows from the main goal

Set up a 7 player formation (Blue) as per the red team

The ball starts with the central red defender who has two actions, pass the ball to a team mate and then move to a spare cone

The blue team then make a decision of a player moving to a spare cone

Scoring

Set up a 7 player formation (Blue) as per the red team

The object of the game is to pass, scan, move and communicate to score a goal from a cone on the back line 

The ball starts with the central red defender who has two actions, dribble/pass the ball to a team mate and then move to a spare cone

The entire blue team then make a decision of each player moving to a spare cone

The red team then have a decision to make to either move the entire team to a spare cone or pass the ball and move just one player

Should a blue player be able to take a cone that a red player WITH the ball has then they automatically take possession of the ball and the red player must sit out then blue can make two passes and move the entire once team 

The red team then turn into the defending team and can move together

This continues until a goal is scored or it ends as 1 v 1
