Set Up:
Every player has a ball
Organisation:
2. BALL FEEL WARM-UP (3 minutes)
A: Drops & Catches (Both Hands → Foot → Catch)
Players hold the ball
Drop → tap with dominant foot → catch
Repeat 10 times
Switch feet
Key Target: ball comes straight up to their hands, not spinning.
Coaching Cue:
“Toe down, ankle locked, small pop from the knee.”
3. DOUBLE TAP PROGRESSION (2 minutes)
A: Drop → Tap → Tap → Catch (Same Foot)
Drop ball
Tap up twice with the same foot
Let it bounce → catch
Goal: 5 clean attempts per foot.
B: Bounce Juggles (Everyone loves this step)
Player taps once → lets ball bounce → taps again → bounce → tap again
Build early confidence
Coaching Cue:
“Soft touches. Keep it under your hips.”
5. FIRST BIG CHALLENGE: 3 JUGGLES (2 minutes)
Players spread out and try to hit these milestones:
1 juggle (tap → catch)
2 juggles (tap → tap → catch)
3 juggles (tap → tap → tap → catch)
Every time someone hits 3, give a big cheer.
Make it a game — team target of 20 successful 3-juggle attempts.
6. FUN FINISHER GAME (3–4 minutes)
Juggle & Move
Players jog slowly around grid
On your whistle they stop and try 1–3 juggles
If they succeed → jog again
If they fail → no problem, reset and go again
This builds juggling under light pressure.
COACHING LANGUAGE
“Small touches, small wins.”
“We’re building control, not numbers.”
“Every tap is learning.”
“Let the ball fall to your foot.”

Set Up:
As above
Organisation:
5 v 5 now
Full normal rules with throw ins and corners
Goal kicks are kick ins from the base line
If a goal is scored then the restart comes from the baseline of the team who conceeded not at half way (opposition team needs to be back in their half for the kick off and Goal Kicks)
New rule introduced - your first goal is worth 3 points, the 2nd goal is worth 2 points and the 3rd goal is worth 1 point, 4th goal and more is worth 0
Coaching Points:
Keep very vocal about who is scoring and what point they are on
encourage players to think about the situation is it the best for the team for that player to score or is it better for them to look for another player who could be worth 3 points for the goal
Play for 10 minutes, drink break with any quick chats about how the game is playing out then play for 10 minutes to finish it out.
