Organization: 40x30 yd area. 12 cones. 2 teams of 5 players. 2 neutral players.
Instructions: 2 balls per team. Pass ball between players on same team in sequence 1-4. Players are to pass ball on ground and use the inside of the foot technique.
Coaching Points: 1. Head up to observe available options. 2. Identifying gaps in defense to penetrate. 3. Movement to get open and be an option. 4. Timing of decision to penetrate or possess.
Progressions: 1. Ball and partner work to keep ball in space and take on players while partner looks to be an option running into a passing lane. 2. One ball per team. Players pass in sequence within own team. 3. Player with ball dribble at player on other team while teammates provide support- primarily wide. 4. Two neutral players are chosen by coach. This creates numbers up situations for attackers always. 5. Play game- 7 passes= point.

Organization: 40x50 yd area. Even teams. 3 v. 3 or 4 v. 4 if possible.
Instructions: "Try to attack and beat a defender by dribbling or passing around them, before you dribble across line." Use target players to keep possession.
Coaching Points: (1). Engage defender by dribbling at them. (2). Look to dribble if space permitting (compact laterally). (3). Look to pass if 2nd attacker in good position to penetrate. (4). If pressure does not allow pass or dribble forward look to keep ball by playing negatively or switching point of attack. (5). Distance to defender when making decision to pass or dribble around them.
Progressions: (1.) Target players are neutral and provide width. Targets can move up and down entire side line boundary. Coach switches targets every 3 minutes. (2). If team completes 5 passes, target of their color joins the play to add numbers up.

Organization: Leave red boundary markers and extend boundaries from conditioned game. Play 6 v. 6. Play to Coerver goals if available.
Instructions: Let them play.
Coaching Points: Reinforce good decisions of recognizing when to penetrate/possess.

Warm up- 1 v. 1 channels (15 mins)
Organization: 10x15 yd area. 20 cones= 1 v. 1 channels. Balls start on one side. 2 even lines per channel. More players on side where ball starts if uneven numbers.
Instructions: Pass to player across (this player then becomes the shadow defender). Player receives and attacks to dribble across opposing end line. Players are to try and attack space.
Coaching Points: 1. Identifying defenders position

Progressions: (1.) Defender can not tackle (shadow defending) Attacker dribble across and players switch lines. (2). Score points by dribbling across opposing end line with control. Defender can steal and score by dribbling across. (4).Rotate red teams to opposite field.
