Session Organisation
- 2 teams organised as shown (2-3-1) restricted to their thirds
How to Play
- As GK distributes ball #4 can drop in to defensive third to create a diamond
- As #4 drops in #9 can drop into middle third
- Ball must travel through middle third
- Players can break a line with a dribble or pass and move to support into the next third
Progressions
- Encourage rotation of positions through thirds to unbalance opposition
- Remove zonal restrictions

- Quality of passing and receiving skills, especially in tight areas
- Movement/mobility to create options off the ball
- Awareness of numerical situations and opportunities to play forwards vs back

4 Corner Game (20 mins)
Organization: Play directional and score by passing ball (1) any corner, (2) any 2 corners, or (3) all corners while retaining possession. Area should be large enough that teams can keep the ball if their technique and decision are correct. Shrink grid to add more pressure.
Coaching Points: Receive back foot to space away from defender. Proper weight and pace of passes. Play the ball away from the defender. Keep the ball moving. Move to support teammates. Call for the ball.
